Accountant
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and a proven track record in managing general ledger accounts and optimizing financial processes.
Responsibilities
- Perform general ledger account reconciliation.
- Resolve aging balances on the balance sheet.
- Optimize manual processes and day-to-day operations.
- Research discrepancies and document findings.
- Collaborate with team members to address large balances on balance sheet accounts.
- Assist with external audits and new account reconciliations.
- Ensure efficient and accurate documentation of activities.
Essential Skills
- Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles.
- Experience with general ledger account reconciliation.
- Ability to research discrepancies and document findings.
- Attention to detail and efficiency.
- Experience in operational accounting is preferred.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in accounting software and general ledger systems.
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month-end processes.
- Familiarity with invoicing, reporting, and Excel pivot tables.
- Ability to perform data entry, journal entry, and bank reconciliation.
- Experience with financial statement preparation and balance sheet management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and invoice processing.
Work Environment
This is an in-office position located in Knoxville, Tennessee. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.50/hr.
