Locums - Pediatrics Hospitalist Fort Morgan, CO (IMLC Accepted) Clinical Role
  • Inpatient Pediatrics + Newborn Nursery
  • 24-hour call shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 AM)
  • Attend occasional deliveries and C-sections (not all)
  • Required procedures: Circumcision, neonatal resuscitation, treatment of respiratory and infectious diseases in young patients
  • Level 1 Nursery
  • No PICU (ICU may admit adolescents >50kg if provider is comfortable)
  • No support staff
  • Reason for coverage: Rebid provider
Schedule & Availability
  • October 30 - November 3
  • November 26 - December 1
  • December 11 - 15
  • January 1 - 5
  • Ongoing dates available (January-June schedule pending)
  • Must be available for one or more of the above dates to be considered for future assignments
  • All shifts end the following morning at 7:00 AM
Location & Patient Population
  • Fort Morgan, Colorado
  • Approximately 80% Colorado Medicaid patients
  • Provider must be enrolled in CO Medicaid to prescribe
Requirements
  • Board Certified in Pediatrics - Required
  • Active Colorado License or IMLC (LOQ in hand at time of submission) - Required
  • Active BLS - Required for credentialing
  • Must disclose number of shifts per month provider can offer - Required
  • Must complete all required EMR training before start - Required
  • Must acknowledge EMR training process and agree to complete in listed order - Required
EMR & Training
  • EMR System: EPIC
  • EMR Training Process (must be completed at least one week prior to start):
  • Complete online modules
  • Pass EUPA test
  • Complete PPL
  • Attend virtual EMR training session
Case Volume
  • 250 deliveries per year at St. Elizabeth Hospital
  • 40-50 pediatric admissions annually (includes ED and direct admits)
  • 95-99% of clinical duties involve newborn care and management of respiratory/infectious conditions
  • Pediatricians are expected to be proficient in initial resuscitation for high-risk deliveries (e.g., unplanned C-sections, fetal distress, preterm infants)
