WeVote has an open volunteering position for a person who has experience as a Graphic Designer. This is an opportunity to work remotely with our active team to help us get ready for multiple upcoming elections. Our ideal volunteer is passionate about politics and excited to use technology to educate voters and increase voter turnout. This position is for 2+ hours per week.
What You'll Do
- Participate in weekly newsletter team meetings (Tuesdays, 10am PT), collaborating with writers, editors, and other creatives on the editorial calendar and helping brainstorm impactful visual campaigns
- Create graphics and visual assets for the WeVote blog, newsletters (both public and internal), and other digital marketing materials to help bring to life the key points of articles and stories
- Maintain and enforce brand guidelines, ensuring consistent use of color, typography, and logo standards across all communications
- Work flexibly and creatively to adapt designs for multiple audiences, balancing clarity, accessibility, and visual appeal in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
Who you are: Must-haves
- You want to work with an established and successful team. You are committed to strengthening American Democracy
- Experience in graphic design and digital branding
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- 2+ hours per week during our core team hours M-F 8 a.m. - 6 p.m
- A willingness to work with and support other volunteers
- You are currently located in the US and can work one or two hours that overlap with US Pacific Time per week
