Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our team. This role will be responsible for conducting gap analyses, documenting business and system requirements, leading product rollouts, and ensuring seamless adoption by end users. The Business Analyst will collaborate closely with stakeholders, IT teams, and product owners to drive technology implementation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Document Gap Analysis – Assess current state (As-Is) and define future state (To-Be), identifying process inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement, including new features.
  • Document Business Requirements – Gather and document functional and technical requirements, including system integration needs, working closely with stakeholders.
  • Develop Test Plan & Acceptance Criteria – Define test cases, validation scenarios, and success criteria to ensure the product and system functionality meet business needs.
  • Maintain Product & Project Documentation – Manage and update requirement documents, system integrations, data mapping, process workflows, user guides, and other project artifacts.
  • Lead Product Rollout, End-User Training & Adoption – Plan and coordinate the implementation strategy, including facilitating training sessions and knowledge transfer to Service Desk support teams to ensure a seamless transition to new systems or processes.
  • Collaborate with IT & Business Teams – Work cross-functionally with product owners, development engineers, QA, and business stakeholders to ensure requirements meet customer expectations.
  • Support Agile or Hybrid Delivery Models – Engage in Agile ceremonies, backlog refinement, sprint planning, and hybrid project execution.

Qualifications

  • Experience
    • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, System Analyst or equivalent (CPA, accounting or financial services industry preferred).
    • Demonstrated experience documenting business processes, gap analysis, and system integration documentation.
    • Knowledge of financial and/or tax platforms, compliance tools is preferred.
    • Background in business applications, enterprise software, or digital transformation projects.
    • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban. Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and other Agile tools for backlog management.
  • Agile Delivery Experience
    • Experience in Agile or Hybrid (waterfall and hybrid) delivery models based on an MVP mindset.
    • Experience creating user stories including Acceptance Criteria and Definition of Done to ensure frequent incremental rollouts based on an MVP mindset.
  • Soft Skills
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
    • Ability to translate complex business needs into clear technical requirements.
    • Proven ability to facilitate end-user training and change management initiatives.
  • Certifications (Strongly Preferred)
    • Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PMI-ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner), or SAFe Business Analyst certification (preferred).
