The position of Specialist IT Onsite Support is responsible for all hardware and software related tasks that are assigned to them through customer, vendor or employee requests or manager assigned. What you’ll do as a Specialist IT Onsite Support
- Responds to telephone calls, emails, and service requests for technical support in a timely manner, escalating issues as needed.
- Identifies, researches, and resolves questions and problems related to computer hardware, software, printer/scanner, network, and telephone.
- Install, configure, upgrade and deploy computer hardware and software.
- Consult with individual users on computer related problems and providing computer skills training for staff, if needed.
- Documents, tracks, and monitors assigned requests ensuring a timely resolution.
- Maintain IT equipment inventory.
- Assists in troubleshooting of network and related telecom outages and issues.
- Refer contracted hardware or software problems or defective products to vendors for service.
- Completes projects as assigned in the IT area.
- Other IT related tasks as assigned by manager
What you’ll need
- To be 18 years of age or older
- Authorization to work in the United States for this company
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to pass a background check and company drug screening.
- Must be able to attend and pass all company required training as needed.
- May be required to work over-time; after hours; on weekends or be on-call as work is needed to ensure work is completed.
- May include working nights and holidays as needed.
- Regular and timely attendance is an essential function of this position.
Additional qualifications
- 1-2 years of progressive IT related work including detailed troubleshooting experience.
- Intermediate knowledge, skill and ability in Microsoft Windows 10/7, knowledge of common PC applications such as Microsoft Office, Anti-Virus and Internet Browsers.
- General understanding of TCP/IP networks.
- Must have efficient research, organizational and time management skills.
- Must have strong analytical skills.
- Must have ability to function, organize and prioritize work in fast paced, high pressure environment.
- Must be a self-starter, be able to keep busy and work effectively and independently with little to no direction.
- Must be skilled at managing and meeting end user expectations.
- Must be able to lift general computer equipment; desktops, monitors and printers.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving history as travel is required between office sites as needed to maintain the company’s IT systems.
- Ability to make common sense understanding to carry out instructions that are provided in written, oral or drawing. Ability to deal with and understand problems involving different variables in many varied situations involving employees, customers and vendors.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts (measurements in terms of distance, proportions, percentages and area. Ability to apply concepts of basic mathematics.
- Ability to read, understand and interpret documents such as safety rules and requirements, machine manuals of operation and process procedures. Ability to write information including reports. Ability to speak effectively to customers, coworkers, vendors and the public.

- Employees performing these job functions may be required to lift or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required to perform this job include but are not limited to: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus potentially near and/or far as needed.

Pay Range
The Specialist IT Onsite Support hourly wage range is $20.00 - $25.00 depending on experience.
