SAP Technical Consultant
Location: Pentagon, DC (Off-Site/Hybrid) Role: SAP Technical Consultant Location: Onsite 3 days per week at Pentagon or in Navy Yard Duration: Contract to Hire (would be open to Direct Hire) Citizenship: US Citizen with active Secret Clearance Top Requirements: Functional expert in SAP, ideally have implementation (on front end of implementation project so they must be a SME who can explain how things can be integrated) SAP ERP Legacy and S4HANA experience Building and automating business process controls in HANA Project/Mission/Scope: Navy is moving from SAP to HANA Preferred Skills: Advana experience SAP Certifications Duties include but are not limited to: Investigating and analyzing unmatched transaction errors within the SAP ERP system, pinpointing root causes and identifying corrective actions Working closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, procurement, and IT, to understand transaction workflows and error origins Demonstrating excellent writing and communication skills as significant time is spent drafting/updating communication artifacts (e.g., Standard Operating Procedures, Desktop Guides, white papers) Documenting error resolution steps and outcomes to support knowledge sharing and process improvement Developing and maintaining user guides, FAQs, and other resources to aid in understanding and addressing unmatched transaction issues Providing training and support to end-users on SAP ERP transaction processing and error resolution techniques Demonstrating strong customer service skills and the ability to work in occasional high-pressure situations with short deadlines Directing and reviewing the work of Senior Associates Communicating status of project-related tasks to Team Lead and client Qualifications: BA/BS/BBA degree from an accredited college/university Minimum of 8 years of progressive, relevant experience Active Secret Clearance (or higher, such as Secret, Top Secret) (requires U.S. citizenship) Preferred Qualifications: Experience researching and resolving unmatched transactions within Navy ERP Experience working with DoD's Advanced Analytics (Advana) platform Experience collaborating with the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS), including familiarity with DFAS processes, procedures, and correction processing Experience working with DoD collection and disbursing operations Ability to independently research data reconciling variances Highly proficient skills in MS Excel Experience with SQL, Python, and Databricks for data querying and scripting CPA or eligibility to sit for CPA certification Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM), Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or other professional certification
