Kearney & Company Kearney & Company is seeking a Financial Improvement and Audit Senior Consultant to join our growing team! Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Supporting the Department of the Navy (DON) audit response, audit remediation, internal controls, financial processes, and/or accounting in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Statements of Federal Financial Accounting Standards (SFFAS), and/or relevant Department of the Treasury and Office of Management and Budget (OMB) policies Managing project plan: prioritize tasks, meet established deadlines, seek out and provide value-added services Integrating data analytics and automation with project tasks to achieve client and engagement goals Working closely with and communicating the status of project tasks/goals to the client and Kearney team Demonstrating excellent writing and communication skills as significant time is spent drafting/updating communication artifacts (e.g., Standard Operating Procedures, Desktop Guides, whitepapers) Demonstrating strong customer service skills and the ability to work in occasional high-pressure situations with short deadlines Directing and reviewing the work of Consultants and Senior Associates Qualifications
BA/BS/BBA degree in accounting or business management related field from an accredited college / university 6 years of progressive relevant experience, including leading financial management related projects and teams Experience in federal/DoD financial statement auditing, financial management, audit remediation, or audit readiness Experience working with DoD clients One of the following certifications: CPA, CDFM, CGFM, or CIA Ability to travel up to 25% Active Secret Clearance at minimum required (requires U.S. citizenship) Preferred Qualifications:
