Overview
My client is a strategic financial advisory firm specializing in the energy transition, infrastructure, and sustainable industries across the Americas. They are committed to helping clients navigate the evolving landscape of clean energy, decarbonization, and climate-aligned capital investment. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Investment Banking Associate to join our Energy Transition Advisory team. This individual will play a key role in supporting the execution of M&A, capital raising, and strategic advisory transactions for renewable energy, clean infrastructure, and climate tech clients throughout Latin America and North America. This role will suit a candidate with 2-3 years IB experience in a power / renewables / energy deal team in the US. Responsibilities
Lead financial analysis, modeling, valuation, and transaction structuring for M&A and capital markets mandates Prepare investor presentations, confidential information memoranda (CIMs), teasers, pitch decks, and other client deliverables Conduct market research, sector analysis, and due diligence on companies and industry trends in clean energy, energy storage, EVs, and decarbonization Support and manage day-to-day transaction execution with senior bankers and clients Collaborate closely with clients, lawyers, accountants, and technical consultants throughout deal processes Mentor analysts and interns within the team Qualifications
2-3 years of investment banking, project finance, private equity, or similar advisory experience Strong financial modeling and valuation skills (DCF, precedent transactions, comparables, LBO, etc.) Demonstrated interest and knowledge in the energy transition, clean tech, or infrastructure sectors Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, engineering, or related field (MBA or CFA a plus) Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and cross-border environment
