Amazon Web Services (AWS) . AWS is looking for a highly motivated Solutions Architect to help accelerate our growing business as part of the World Wide Public Sector practice. As a Solutions Architect within AWS, you will have the opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy to build broad use of Amazon's utility computing web services with customers and our ecosystem of system integrators and solution providers. Your broad responsibilities will include owning the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects; defining implementation architectures; responding to RFPs; developing a deep expertise in AWS technologies as well as broad know-how around how applications and services are constructed using the AWS platform; and being a subject matter expert on security as it relates to customer applications and services. From idea to IPO and beyond, AWS sets the standard for education technology applications. The AWS Cloud lets EdTechs build and launch solutions that help students learn every day. You will be helping EdTech customers start, grow, and optimize their businesses on the AWS Cloud, solving problems such as scale or adapting existing solutions for new ways of learning. Responsibilities
Execution of a strategic technical account plan for platform adoption (e.g., establish relationships to influence technical stakeholders). Direct customer interaction to technically qualify and validate sales opportunities (e.g., conduct architecture meetings to validate solution). Thought leadership engagements to evangelize and advocate for the AWS platform (e.g., public speaking at customer/partner events). Curation and documentation of best practices to accelerate deployments of AWS solutions (e.g., public whitepapers, blogs, code). Conducting technical enablement for customers/partners (e.g., Immersion Days). Capturing customer feedback and demand for evolving the AWS platform. Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience. 4+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience. 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience. Preferred Qualifications
Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries. Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud. Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective. About AWS
