IT Support Specialist (Contract) – Law Firm | Houston, TX

Location: Galleria Area, Houston, TX

Type: Contract (2 months) - Potential for Full-Time Conversion

Pay: $30–$35/hour

Start Date: Targeting late September

We’re seeking a proactive and dependable IT Support Specialist to join our law firm’s Houston office on a 2-month contract. This role is critical to maintaining seamless IT operations while our current team member is on leave. You’ll work closely with our CIO and support attorneys and staff across multiple offices.

Bonus: There’s a strong possibility this role could convert to a full-time position based on performance and team needs.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide front-line Help Desk support and escalate issues as needed.

  • Manage laptop inventory and check-in/out processes.

  • Maintain equipment records and Help Desk ticketing via email.

  • Collaborate with attorneys and staff to resolve technical issues.

  • Support special projects and ensure timely follow-through.

  • Work under the supervision of the CIO (new CIO starting early next year).

What We’re Looking For:

  • 5+ years in IT support, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment.

  • Strong initiative and ability to anticipate needs and solve problems independently.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Windows 10, Adobe, and iManage.

  • Experience with Aderant billing support is a plus.

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and work occasional weekends if needed.

Pay Details: $30.00 to $40.00 per hour
