Your Role: Art TeacherAs an Art Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the creative minds of our students. Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Ensure Qualifications: Become highly qualified and certified, holding a bachelor’s degree and state certification to teach in public schools.
- Engagement: Be present and engaged from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
- Student Supervision: Provide appropriate supervision during class, breaks, meals, and transitions to maintain a safe and optimal learning environment.
- Curriculum Development: Research, design, and document art standards and curricula for grades K-4/5-8.
- Teaching: Teach Art to all students Monday through Thursday and lead after-school enrichment two days a week.
- Program Management: Design and implement all aspects of the Art program, including coordination with outside providers.
- Collaboration: Work with classroom teachers to integrate academic instruction into Art, particularly in social studies and science.
- Family Engagement: Involve families in their children’s education through events like student Art concerts.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in department and faculty meetings, and actively engage in curriculum development.

- Experience:
- 1-2 years of experience impacting K-12 students in urban schools is preferred.
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required. Certification is not mandatory at hiring but must be pursued if not already obtained.

CompensationSalary for this role ranges from $50,000 to $64,700, based on relevant experience and qualifications.
