Overview

We have an exceptional opportunity for an organized and efficient Human Resources Generalist with clinical recruitment experience within an acute care hospital environment. The HR Generalist must possess strong initiative as a self-starter, be highly flexible to address changing needs, and be able to work independently across HR disciplines with minimal supervision. Confidentiality is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily HR operations and provide comprehensive HR support across the organization.
  • Administer HR policies and procedures, ensuring legal compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Assist with recruiting, screening, and hiring processes.
  • Conduct reference checks, background checks, and onboarding paperwork.
  • Meet goals related to quality of hire, time-to-fill, and cost-per-hire.
  • Coordinate pre-employment processes for applicants.
  • Handle employee relations and benefits administration.
  • Maintain employee records and compile HR reports.
  • Assist with new hire orientation and training.
  • Manage employee timekeeping systems and update HR information systems.
  • Provide guidance to managers and staff on HR policies and practices.
  • Conduct investigations and prepare reports.
  • Handle labor and employee relations, performance management, and leave management.
  • Serve as a trusted HR partner with organizational areas, aligning HR activities with business goals.
  • Advise on disciplinary actions, ensuring consistency and compliance.
  • Identify performance gaps and develop improvement plans.
  • Investigate grievances and prepare responses, representing the organization as needed.
  • Maintain knowledge of collective bargaining agreements.
  • Monitor HR initiatives, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Review and update HR policies for compliance.
  • Utilize technology to improve HR processes efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, demonstrating HR value.
  • Maintain positive relationships with labor representatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 3-5 years of HR experience as a Generalist, preferably with experience in organized labor.
  • Proficient in MS Office and HRIS systems; experience with iCIMS and Kronos preferred.
  • Typing speed of at least 50 WPM.
  • 2+ years of full lifecycle recruiting experience, preferably in healthcare.
  • PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to facilitate resolutions and work independently.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
