This position is located at Darnell Army Medical Center, Fort Cavazos, Texas. Responsibilities
Apply biopsychosocial evaluations to propose behavioral health interventions. Provide short-term (time-limited) evidence-based treatment, including behavioral, cognitive, and motivational approaches. Provide primary care providers and staff regular and concise feedback on the status of referred patients, including recommendations for team-based care. Implement psychoeducational classes to target high-frequency diagnoses found in the primary care clinic. Document information in the electronic health record during patient encounters. Performs Other Duties As Assigned. Qualifications
Who May Apply: US Citizens Basic Requirement For Clinical Psychologist (Behavioral Health Consultant) Degree: Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology. Specialized Experience:
One year of specialized experience which includes conducting behavioral health assessments; providing individual and group treatment; and working as part of a multidisciplinary team. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience; for this job, substitution of education for experience is not permitted. Licensure : This position requires a current, active, valid, unrestricted clinical license to practice Psychology independently, offered by a U.S. State, District of Columbia, commonwealth, territory or jurisdiction. Education FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must have your credentials evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education must be deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit must be given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
