Overview
The
Director of People and Culture
is a senior leadership position responsible for providing strategic partnership to the CEO and leadership team, developing and leading HR strategies across the organization, leading the HR team, and supporting the achievement of business objectives while promoting a positive, inclusive workplace culture. This role has a proactive presence, providing continual support and coaching to team members, leadership, and employees. They oversee the HR department's day-to-day work including talent acquisition, learning and development, performance management, payroll & benefits administration, employee relations, compliance, and reporting. Specific areas of accountability include strategic leadership and planning, talent acquisition, learning and development, performance management, employee relations, compensation and benefits, team leadership and development, customer service, and sustaining a welcoming and inclusive environment for all. Monday - Friday business hours. Flexibility required to meet business needs.
Responsibilities
Provide strategic partnership to the CEO and leadership team and lead HR strategies across the organization Oversee the HR department’s day-to-day work including talent acquisition, learning and development, performance management, payroll & benefits administration, employee relations, compliance, and reporting Lead, coach, and develop the HR team; ensure effective delegation and time management Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement departmental plans aligned with organizational goals Foster a welcoming and inclusive workplace culture and drive diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives
Qualifications
Human Resources Expertise: In-depth experience in talent acquisition and development, succession planning, performance management, engagement, employee relations, HR technology, employment law, compensation, benefits, wellness, and payroll Leadership and Strategic Vision: Ability to partner with stakeholders to develop strategic plans and lead the HR team Relationship Building: Strong internal and external relationship-building and service orientation Team Leadership: Experience coaching and developing an engaged team with effective delegation Communication: Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication; capable of coaching and consultation Project Management: Cross-functional project design, management, implementation, execution, and measurement Decision Making and Analysis: Sound judgment, integrity, confidentiality, and ability to analyze metrics and feedback Prioritization and Effectiveness: Executive-level prioritization, multi-tasking, attention to detail, and follow-through Culturally Competent: Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and ability to drive DEI throughout the workplace Trusted Partner: Objectivity, neutrality, confidentiality, and ability to remain calm under pressure Technical Skills: Intermediate computer skills (Office 365); basic to intermediate math and data analysis
Preferred Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Human Resources or related field Union Experience: HR leadership experience in a union environment Compliance: Knowledge of employment laws (e.g., Title VII, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, ERISA) and local ordinances Project Management: Demonstrated success with project design, management, execution, and measurement Software Skills: Familiarity with cloud-based HRIS and ATS systems Certification: SHRM or PHR or equivalent Multilingual

Salary:
$100,000 - $130,000 per year Benefits:
