Residential & Dining Enterprises (R&DE), the largest auxiliary organization at Stanford University, supports the academic mission of the University by providing the highest quality services to students and other members of the university community. The Division has an operating budget and extensive facilities, employs a large staff, and operates multiple dining and service locations to support campus operations. This division supports all R&DE operations and provides strong stewardship of its facilities by delivering daily and preventive maintenance, managing asset renewal, supporting capital projects, sustainability, safety, and space management. JOB DESIGNATION : This role is designated as essential and requires incumbents to report to work onsite. Telecommuting is not available for this role. JOB PURPOSE Coordinate, schedule, and manage the program to provide planned assessments of building subsystems within the R&DE portfolio of buildings. Assist with assessments, integrate information into the building subsystem asset tracking database, and update the database after completed projects. Make recommendations on lifecycle adjustments. Adjust unit costs in the model based on historical and market pricing and refine the asset database. Coordinate, schedule, and manage our non-system connected Life Safety Testing and Inspection Program to ensure regulatory compliance. Integrate information into tracking databases and provide regular reports to regulatory agencies. Conduct special initiatives and manage projects in support of facility stewardship. CORE DUTIES Perform the full range of project management: initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing. Lead projects requiring functional integration and complete sub-projects or contained projects as appropriate. Direct development of an action plan and estimate resources (management, labor, materials, time). Facilitate discussions and negotiations to drive consensus within scope of responsibility. Develop and execute change management strategies and communication plans; manage resistance to change. Project management elements include scope definition, stakeholder management, risk management, and budgeting up to $5M for a single project and up to $10M cumulatively. ADDITIONAL DUTIES Coordinate scheduling of asset assessments with inspection teams and user groups, including summer conferences, operations, and other users. Track assessment information and incorporate into Asset Renewal model. Contribute to project scope development based on assessment program and outcomes. Identify collateral impacts in project scoping due to renewal of building subsystems. Develop a five-to-seven-year action plan and liaise with campus partners for subsystem assessments and future outcomes. Review, evaluate, approve, and monitor contracts, cost schedules, and technical baselines. Coordinate testing and inspections with user groups and maintain regulatory compliance reporting. Promote diversity, multiculturalism, and inclusion in the execution of the role. Demonstrate a wide range of interpersonal and collaboration skills with internal and external stakeholders. * - Other duties may also be assigned MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in a related field and three years of related experience in development and management of projects of moderate size/complexity with limited performance risk, including project planning, scheduling, tracking, and budgeting, or a combination of education and relevant experience. Five or more years of experience is highly desired. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Polished written and oral communication skills to address a wide variety of audiences. Ability to productively engage and influence cross-functional teams. Demonstrated project management ability to employ integration, scope time management, cost, quality, human resources, communications, risk, and procurement components. Demonstrated resilience, diplomacy, influence, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills. Depth of knowledge in the technical discipline needed to deliver projects. Compensation The expected pay range for this position is $130K to $140K per annum or ($62.50-$67.31/hour).
