Overview
We currently have an opening for a Director of Sales. The ideal candidate will lead and manage the sales team, ensuring a high level of professionalism, guest service, and profitability. Develop business leads, solicit potential clients, service existing accounts, sell all hotel facilities, target business in assigned market segments, and meet and exceed sales goals, occupancy, and revenue. Consistently perform our standards of service, interact with guests, clients, and all hotel team members. Responsibilities
Responsible, in conjunction with the General Manager, for meeting or exceeding planned revenue objectives for hotel revenue, RevPAR, occupancy, and ADR. Manage all areas of sales and marketing according to brand standards to achieve a professional rapport within the local business community. Actively involved daily in securing, qualifying, and following up on leads to book specific business (hands-on / leads by example). Develop/assist with development of the hotel’s sales plan based on the hotel’s position and strengths within each market segment. Know the competition well and understand market businesses; analyze competition’s strengths and weaknesses for each segment and direct marketing activities accordingly. Forecast occupancy fluctuations and direct selling activities to maximize revenues. Ensure hotel employees are familiar with key accounts and their needs (rates, room types, key contacts, etc.). Negotiate group and corporate rates, meeting room rental, hotel services, and contracts in line with company standards. Collaborate with the sales team to ensure understanding of sales strategy and effective implementation for each segment. Develop and maintain market awareness to predict revenue opportunities and set proactive strategies. Drive customer loyalty to grow market share by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience. Promote proactive selling and outside sales calls as core responsibilities of the role. Demonstrate self-motivation, teamwork, and willingness to learn; possess excellent relationship-building, negotiating, follow-through, organization, and time-management skills. Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of full-service hotel sales experience required. Market experience is preferred. 4-year college degree or equivalent work experience required. Strong leadership abilities; strategic thinker who can drive execution. Proficiency with PC applications, property management systems, databases, third-party sales tools, and Microsoft Office. The compensation range for this position is $130,000.00/Yr. - $150,000.00/Yr., based on qualifications and experience. Location
