Job Opportunity With York County Parks And Recreation

Positions available with York County Parks and Recreation. Must possess good public relations skills and the ability to carry out established policies and procedures. Must be able to work a flexible schedule primarily evenings and weekends. Hourly rate depends on position. Minimum Qualifications

Concessions Supervisor

(Must be 18 years of age or older) Assists the Concession Manager with the daily operation and maintenance of concessions operations. Oversees front line staff, food/beverage sales and preparation, and merchandise sales. Inspects, cleans and maintains concessions equipment and building. Prepares and sells food items, operates food service equipment, maintains the cleanliness of work area, rest rooms, and surrounding areas. Follows department/division policies and procedures as well as Health Department guidelines. Operates a point of sale (POS) system and cash register, and reconciles daily concession sales. High school graduate or equivalent with supervisory/management experience, and experience with food preparation and equipment, sanitation, and hygiene preferred. Must be willing to obtain First Aid and CPR certifications within 30 days of employment.

Concessions Attendant

(Must be 16 years of age or older) Responsible for the preparation and sale of food and beverages, merchandise sales, and cleaning of concessions equipment and building. Operates food service equipment such as a microwave, conventional oven, popcorn maker, cheese dispenser, food warmer, and other equipment as necessary. Operates a point of sale (POS) system and cash register. Maintains the cleanliness of work area, concession stand building and equipment, rest rooms, and surrounding areas. Follows department/division policies and procedures as well as Health Department guidelines. Supplemental Information

All positions require an acceptable criminal background check. Physical Demands

Requires regular, and at times sustained, performance of heavier physical tasks such as walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, leaping, jumping down, standing in place or continual walking, lifting and carrying of moderate to heavy items on a consistent basis.

Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds. There are no benefits associated with this position.
