Overview

Locum Social Worker - Safeguarding - Medway, UK - Up to £38 per Hour, Contract: 3-month. This opportunity offers a locum position as a Social Worker within the Safeguarding team in Medway.

Responsibilities

• Screen safeguarding concerns and initially gather information to assess needs.
• Conduct Section 42 Enquiries, ensuring statutory responsibilities are met to protect vulnerable adults.
• Perform thorough risk assessments and develop effective safety plans tailored to each situation.
• Undertake mental capacity assessments to ensure proper support and action plans are in place.
• Apply the principles of Making Safeguarding Personal, focusing on outcomes that improve the individual\'s life.
• Collaborate actively with key partner agencies to provide holistic and effective safeguarding interventions.

Requirements

• Possess a degree or equivalent qualification in social work.
• Be currently registered with Social Work England.
• Significant frontline experience working as a qualified Social Worker within UK Social Services.
• The ability to drive and have business cover is essential for this hybrid role based in Medway.
• Experience in adult safeguarding work is necessary, including engagement in the aforementioned tasks and responsibilities.
