Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver safeguarding and complex casework with a focus on individuals requiring social care.
• Utilise knowledge of the Care Act 2014, MCA 2005, DoLS, and safeguarding procedures to deliver service.
• Effectively manage competing priorities while maintaining detailed case records and meeting statutory deadlines.
• Communicate clearly, both orally and in writing, while working in a multi-disciplinary environment.
• Handle elements of court work, particularly involving the Court of Protection or Mental Health Tribunals, where necessary.
• Formulate risk assessments, chair safeguarding meetings, and conduct Section 42 enquiries with confidence.
• Understand and address issues related to domestic abuse, self-neglect, modern slavery, or financial exploitation.
• Utilise Southwark’s Mosaic system and navigate local safeguarding pathways efficiently.
• Embrace a hybrid working model, balancing remote work, home visits, and office-based duties with 3 days a week in the office.
