Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will operate imaging devices, computers, ECG units, laboratory equipment, dose calibrator, and radiation survey instruments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing scintigraphic scanning as prescribed by physician
- Manipulating images and performing quantitative studies
- Preparing radioactive and non-radioactive materials for patient doses
- Performing quality control and maintenance procedures for scanning
- Consulting with physicians and providing them with quality data for interpretation
- Administering diagnostic or therapeutic radiopharmaceutical/pharmaceuticals under the direction of a physician
- Demonstrating sensitivity to patients' physical and emotional needs through good communication
Requirements:
- Associate's Degree
- Registration with the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- ODH Radiologic License as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- BLS Certification
- Familiarity with all aspects of a fully-equipped Nuclear Medicine department
