Nuclear Medicine Technologist
This is a challenging role that requires strong technical skills, attention to detail and excellent communication abilities. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will be responsible for operating imaging devices, computers, ECG units, laboratory equipment, dose calibrator and radiation survey instruments.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of nuclear medicine technology and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Operate imaging devices, computers, ECG units, laboratory equipment, dose calibrator and radiation survey instruments
- Perform scintigraphic scanning as prescribed by physician
- Perform image manipulation and quantitative studies
- Receives, stores, and prepares radioactive and non-radioactive materials in preparation of patient doses
- Administers diagnostic or therapeutic radiopharmaceutical/pharmaceuticals limited to those within the scope of practice
- Demonstrates sensitivity to the physical and emotional needs of patients through good communication
Requirements
- Associate's Degree (Required)
- ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- BLS - Basic Life Support
- CNMT - Certified Nuclear Medical Technologist
- NMTCB - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board
