Accounting Clerk
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join a dynamic construction company in Salt Lake City, Utah. In this contract position, you will play a key role in managing financial transactions and supporting day-to-day accounting operations. This opportunity is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general bookkeeping. Responsibilities: Process and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with accuracy. Prepare and issue invoices to clients and ensure timely billing. Perform data entry tasks to maintain up-to-date financial records. Code and categorize invoices according to company standards. Handle purchasing activities and track expenses. Assist with job costing and tracking construction project budgets. Utilize accounting software, including QuickBooks and Deltek ComputerEase, to streamline processes. Reconcile financial data and resolve discrepancies as needed. Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with financial procedures. Support other general accounting tasks as required. Requirements: Minimum of 1 year of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role. Proficiency in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes. Familiarity with accounting software, such as QuickBooks and Deltek ComputerEase. Strong data entry skills and attention to detail. Experience with invoice processing and coding. Knowledge of construction accounting practices is preferred. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organizational and communication skills.
