We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Sylmar, California. In this role, you will play a key part in managing daily administrative and financial tasks while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all operations. This position is ideal for professionals with a strong background in accounting and familiarity with tools like QuickBooks. Responsibilities: Handle daily administrative tasks such as processing expense reports, supply requisitions, personnel forms, and operating budgets under supervisor authorization. Conduct research and compile detailed reports, studies, and statistical analyses as requested, ensuring thoroughness and reliability. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice reviews and payment tracking. Perform precise data entry to maintain accurate financial records and documentation. Process invoices in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring compliance with company standards. Utilize QuickBooks to manage and reconcile financial transactions efficiently. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to deadlines. Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data or documentation. Support the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts as needed. Maintain organized records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive financial information. Requirements: Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software. Strong data entry skills with exceptional attention to detail. Familiarity with invoice processing and financial documentation. Ability to compile and interpret data for reports and analyses.
