Inventory Specialist

Join our dynamic manufacturing team as an Inventory Specialist where you will manage inbound shipments, organize parts, and maintain inventory logs. You will ensure that production has the necessary components to complete assemblies efficiently. Responsibilities

Receive all incoming shipments, verify quantities against purchase orders, and check for visible damage or discrepancies. Maintain accurate counts of parts and materials; update ERP/Notion systems in real time to reflect stock levels. Deliver and stage materials to designated build areas and workstations based on production schedules. Assemble kits of parts for builds, reworks, or field upgrades to ensure technicians have complete and ready-to-use sets. Manage movement of materials in and out of stock; properly tag returns, defective parts, and rework items. Keep storage areas neat, labeled, and easy to access for technicians and engineers. Prepare outgoing parts for shipment to customer sites, including packaging and documentation. Perform regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies to ensure inventory accuracy. Act as the first point of contact for manufacturing techs and engineers when parts are needed on the floor. Suggest improvements for labeling, staging, and inventory workflows to drive efficiency. Essential Skills

Experience in inventory control. Proficiency with ERP/MRP or inventory tracking software, such as SAP or Netsuite. Ability to use material handling equipment, including pallet jacks. Strong data entry skills. Experience with cycle counts and warehouse inventory management. Additional Skills & Qualifications

Knowledge working in manufacturing. Forklift certification. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles. Why Work Here?

You will work in a small team of 5 people with hours from 8:30 am to 5 pm. The dress code is casual, allowing for jeans and a plain shirt. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Watertown, Massachusetts. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
