The Clerk's office is seeking a well-organized, detail-oriented professional who likes the challenge of variety and possesses excellent time management skills to join our team as a Value Adjustment Board Clerk! We offer on the job training! What is Board Services? The Board Services department records and prepares the meeting minutes of the Board of County Commissioners and serves as the custodian of the official county records, county seal, resolutions, contracts, and ordinances. The Board Services department also oversees the Value Adjustment Board (VAB) which settles disputes between taxpayers and the Property Appraiser. As Clerk to the VAB, the office receives and processes petitions, schedules, and coordinates hearings and more. This position is a full-time, temporary position with an anticipated assignment length of less than 6 months. Examples of Essential Functions

Clerks VAB hearings with the Property Appraiser's Office, to include personnel such as, Special Magistrates. Prepares hearing rooms. Complete hearing logs; ensure hearings are recorded and back-up recordings are saved for future use. Corresponds with parties as required. Maintains VAB records in accordance with State statutes and other governing rules. Monitor emails to ensure necessary information is being received and shared with Special Magistrates if necessary. Typical Qualifications

High school diploma (or GED), supplemented by three (3) years of recent and relevant experience; some vocational or college courses preferred; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Supplemental Information
