Payroll Specialist (Union Payroll)
Location: Seattle, WA Contract Length: 6 months Pay: $30
$35/hour DOE Overview: LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist with experience processing union payroll for a 6-month contract role in Seattle, WA. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of payroll compliance, collective bargaining agreements, and multi-state payroll practices. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment while ensuring payroll accuracy and timeliness. Key Responsibilities: Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll with a focus on union employees. Ensure compliance with union contracts, collective bargaining agreements, and federal/state/local wage laws. Maintain accurate payroll records including wage garnishments, deductions, and benefits. Reconcile payroll reports, investigate discrepancies, and resolve payroll-related issues. Collaborate with HR and Finance teams regarding employee changes, benefits, and timekeeping. Prepare and distribute payroll reports as needed. Stay updated on payroll regulations and union requirements. Qualifications: 3+ years of payroll experience, including union payroll processing. Strong knowledge of payroll systems (ADP, Workday, or similar). Familiarity with wage and hour laws, tax regulations, and collective bargaining agreements. High attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills. Strong communication and organizational abilities.
