Billing Specialist
As a Billing Specialist, you will collaborate closely with Project Managers to generate precise client billings, prepare AIA billing documents, and manage billing schedules. Your role will involve maintaining organized documentation, liaising with clients and subcontractors, processing GMP billing for construction projects, and ensuring compliance with contract terms. Additionally, you will monitor project costs, prepare monthly progress billings, and manage customer payments. Responsibilities
Work closely with Project Managers to generate accurate client billings. Prepare and review AIA billing documents to accurately reflect project progress and costs. Collaborate with project managers to establish billing schedules and deadlines. Maintain organized records of billing-related documents, including change orders, contracts, and lien waivers. Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and project managers to resolve billing inquiries, discrepancies, and change requests. Prepare and process GMP billing for construction projects, ensuring compliance with contract terms and conditions. Monitor and track project costs to ensure alignment with GMP and accurate billing. Prepare and submit monthly progress billings and maintain backup documentation for audits. Process customer payments timely and contact customers regarding overdue payments. Locate customers using appropriate resources and process payments and refunds. Call customers to resolve billing and credit issues and encourage timely payments. Lead or participate in cross-functional projects to streamline processes. Establish and enforce accounting policies and procedures with proper internal controls. Assist with special projects, billing/collection research, and ad hoc analysis. Qualifications
3+ years of Construction Billing experience. 2+ years of Customer Reconciliation Experience. 2+ years of AIA billing experience. Billing, construction billing, invoicing, accounts receivable expertise. System experience with Coins (K2A is a plus). Associates/Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. Experience with T&M (Time and Materials Billing). Familiarity with GMP (Guaranteed Maximum Price) contracts. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
