The Prince George's County Department of Permitting, Inspections, and Enforcement is currently seeking qualified applicants to fill an Administrative Aide III (3A) grade A17 position in the Admin Pool Division. This position provides administrative and secretarial support to the Enforcement Division. The incumbent must be knowledgeable of administrative procedures, and exercise mature judgment in following through on assignments. Examples of work include assisting and relieving the Unit Supervisor of administrative tasks and responsibilities regarding day-to-day operations, preparing correspondences, proofreading and editing materials, screening telephone calls and incoming mail, answering questions related to office or department operations, handling payroll, preparing operational/activity reports, resolving complaints or referring them as appropriate, greeting visitors, responding to citizen complaints, and gathering budgetary and personnel data. Qualifications include experience in the Administrative Aide II level equal to the length of the probationary period or an associate's degree in business administration or secretarial science, one year of secretarial/administrative experience which involved working with the public, office management, and operational details, and proficiency in typing where required. Any equivalent combination of relevant training, education, and experience may also be accepted. Preferred qualifications include experience working with AVAYA, KRONOS, and SAP.
