Overview Join Amplity as a Medical Science Liaison, Team Lead. Remote, field-based in the US. Amplity delivers flexible and specialized medical and commercial services to biopharma companies, scaling to maximize resources and impact across drug lifecycles. The MSL Team Lead supports Medical Affairs and Clinical Development objectives, acts as an MSL with territory ownership, and leads the MSL team in building connections with the external medical community, communicating scientific information, and gathering insights to inform strategic decisions.

You will support activities across Medical Affairs and Clinical Development for the client’s portfolio. As an MSL, you will interface with clinical trial sites across development programs and collaborate with Clinical Development, Clinical Operations, and Medical Affairs to engage opinion leaders and communicate non-promotional scientific information across therapeutic areas.

What You Will Do

Management of the MSL Team: Under the head of medical outreach and engagement, partner with team members from medical affairs, clinical development, and clinical operations to build and execute the overall MSL plan. This includes Clinical Trial Support, Scientific Expertise, Opinion Leader Engagement, Cross-Functional Support, and Compliance. Responsible for functions within your territory and ensuring MSLs under your leadership perform accordingly.

Clinical Trial Support: Serve as the primary interface between the client and clinical trial sites across development programs, advising on planning and setup of studies for the assigned region and aligning with local CD/Clinical Operations/CRO colleagues to ensure high-quality execution.

Scientific Expertise: Develop deep scientific knowledge across therapeutic areas including inflammatory bowel disease; serve as a scientifically credible leader and collaborative partner within the region.

Opinion Leader Engagement: Cultivate and maintain relationships with opinion leaders, clinical investigators, and study staff within the assigned region across therapeutic areas.

Cross-Functional Support: Provide scientific support to Clinical Development, Medical Affairs, Commercial and other cross-functional teams; support activities such as scientific congresses, advisory boards, and speaker programs; share clinical and scientific insights with cross-functional teams.

Compliance: Operate ethically and comply with all laws, regulations and policies.

What We Expect

A terminal degree (PhD, PharmD, or MD) preferred or a minimum of a master’s degree from an accredited institution required.

Experience managing people required; experience managing an MSL team preferred.

Biotech experience is a plus.

Fluent in English required.

Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to present medical/scientific information clearly.

Adept at developing relationships and building networks.

Excellent organizational skills and results-oriented mindset.

Ability to influence without authority and negotiate with confidence.

Ability to work independently and in a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Relevant therapeutic area knowledge, ideally inflammatory bowel diseases.

Experience with clinical trial design, conduct and evaluation.

Permanent residence within the assigned region.

Ability to travel up to approximately 40–60% of the time.

Must complete all Amplity and client training.

Must have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.

Credentialing Requirements As a representative of a pharmaceutical company, you may be required to submit and maintain credentials such as training, vaccinations, and other job-related documentation to gain access to hospitals or healthcare providers. Some jurisdictions or hospital systems require a representative license. Certain locations may require obtaining specific licenses; you will be notified of changes as they occur.
