General Description JOIN OUR TEAM AS A MAILROOM CLERK! The Mailroom clerk role involves responsible clerical work in operating a mail room. Duties involve processing incoming and outgoing mail for Corrections department. Essential Job Functions

Operates central mail room at the Pasco County Correction Facility. Operates postage application machines. Weighs and processes packages for U.S.P.S. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and also push or pull heavy objects. Performs related work as required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of arithmetic, office practices and procedures. Ability to adhere to prescribed routines, make arithmetic computations quickly and accurately, keep routine records, and make routine reports. Ability to understand and utilize postal regulations. Minimum Requirements PHYSICAL SKILLS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and also push or pull heavy objects. May use a handling device (dolly, cart, etc.) or work with another team member to lift and/or move excessively heavy objects. Able to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the working day. Ability to communicate effectively using verbal, written and visual communication. This position works out of the Land O' Lakes Correctional facility

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

Graduation from high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma. One (1) year experience in mail processing.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS OR REGISTRATIONS:

Must possess a valid Florida driver's license. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
