Fire Rescue Support Coordinator I

Join our team as a Fire Rescue Support Coordinator I! Performs responsible manual and clerical work managing the proper requisition, receipt, storage, inventory, control issues, and record keeping operations of Pasco County warehouses, storeroom supply yards, or departmental specialty commodities area. Requires the ability to work with a computerized inventory system under the general supervision of the Fire Rescue Support Services Officer. Primary duties include delivery to Fire Rescue Stations throughout Pasco County as well as pick-ups from the same stations. All functions require accurate and detailed record keeping. Other duties include the following: Receives, unpacks and stores materials, supplies, and equipment. Checks incoming materials, supplies, and equipment for quality and quantity against purchase order, packing slips, contract order, or other documents. Stocks shelves and keeps stock in order. Assigns inventory/stock number and locations to new stock. Performs physical inventory periodically, including daily cycle count. Issues materials, supplies, and equipment. Inputs and retrieves inventory information using a handheld or desktop computer. Places orders for supplies directly with vendor and performs buyer responsibilities. Maintains storeroom, work areas, and yards in a clean, neat, and orderly condition. Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operation, decrease turnaround time, streamline work processes, and works cooperatively and jointly to provide quality, seamless service. Ability to lift and/or move up to 60 pounds and also push or pull heavy objects. Performs related work and other duties as required. Knowledge of warehousing methods and procedures. Ability to make arithmetical calculations with speed and accuracy. Ability to work with a large and complex computerized inventory system. Ability to operate computer terminal to maintain inventory and stock control. Ability to operate small and medium sized forklifts and pallet jacks. Ability to use various hand and power tools. Basic knowledge of Fire Fighting equipment, Pharmaceuticals, automated dispensing systems. Ability to make minor repairs on small tools, and equipment. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to combine above skills as it will relate to emails, conversations, feedback and follow up. Ability to adapt and overcome challenges, problems, and any other surprise events that the Logistics Division becomes responsible for. Ability to adapt to the Board of County Commissioners Strategic Plan. Ability to adapt to all Policy and Procedures. Ability to keep all assigned training up to date. Ability to work with limited supervision. Ability to use department cell phone for text, emails and calls. Ability to use a department laptop computer and desktop computer along with the associated software of Excel, Word and any additional software in use by the department and the Logistics Division. Ability to drive in heavy traffic, learn routes and station locations. Physical skills: Ability to lift and/or move up to 60 pounds and also push or pull heavy objects. May use a handling device (dolly, cart, etc.) or work with another team member to lift and/or move excessively heavy objects. Ability to climb, bend, stoop, squat, and walk frequently. Ability to communicate effectively using verbal, written, and visual communication. Must be able to operate a keyboard. Education, training and experience: Graduation from high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma. Two (2) years of experience in warehousing. Personal computer experience preferred. Licenses, certifications or registrations: Must possess a valid Florida driver's license.
