What you’ll be doing
As a full-time Verizon Retail Sales Associate, you’ll grow your career with a team focused on unlocking your full potential and sales success within one of our retail stores. Responsibilities include:
- Generate retail sales by using your passion for cutting-edge technology and exceptional customer service to expand the Verizon network.
- Learn and uncover customers\' needs by creating connections and asking the right questions.
- Position product insights and solution recommendations to provide customers with a complete top-down sales solution.
- Close sales by using strong communication skills to fulfill customer needs with simple and intuitive tech solutions.
- Continuously develop yourself through ongoing training and up-skill in operational functions across merchandising and inventory.
- Possibly grow your customer base by placing outbound calls and sending text messages to current Verizon customers interested in our products and services.
- Engage with the community outside of the store to expand your loyal customer base, including at off-site Verizon sponsored events.

Compensation and benefits
We’re hiring immediately! You can earn $16.00 to $21.00 per hour in base pay, plus up to $16,000 a year in individual-based commissions if you hit all your sales goals. Top performers could make up to $14,500 or more in additional commissions, with total annual earnings potentially ranging from $65,000 to $73,500+ depending on geography, hours, and performance.

What we’re looking for
You’ll need to have:
- High school diploma or GED
- One or more years of relevant experience (work or military)
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays (schedule provided four weeks in advance)
- Openness to take additional shifts and earn more income, typically during summer months and peak periods
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
- Experience in a commission-based environment
- Demonstrated sales experience in helping customers find solutions
- Customer service experience

This is a commission-based position with potential to earn more. The starting base pay rate for New York locations is: $19.71 per hour.
