About the Role
We’re building a people function grounded in clarity, consistency, and care—and we’re looking for a sharp, detail-oriented HR Generalist to help us scale. This role blends day-to-day HR operations with proactive employee support. You’ll work closely with leadership to translate business goals into effective practices and elevate the employee experience across a distributed team.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver high-quality HR support at both the team and individual levels within assigned operational channels.
- Support performance management through employee guidance, manager coaching, development planning, and disciplinary processes.
- Turn business needs into clear, effective processes and employee-facing solutions.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to frontline and department leaders, offering guidance grounded in empathy, accountability, and data.
- Own end-to-end benefits administration (enrollments, troubleshooting, eligibility tracking, vendor coordination).
- Coordinate leaves of absence in compliance with FMLA, ADA, and applicable state laws, using third-party LOA platforms where appropriate.
- Maintain HR systems and ensure data accuracy across HRIS, carrier portals, and internal documentation.
- Partner with stakeholders to roll out company-wide programs tailored to each operational channel.
- Reinforce company values and voice across the employee lifecycle—from onboarding to policy communications.
- Lead key talent processes such as onboarding, policy acknowledgments, engagement touchpoints, and employee communications.
- Contribute to cross-functional initiatives (multi-state compliance, internal communications, employee-experience audits, and change management).
What You Bring
- 3+ years in HR or HR-adjacent roles (operations, employee engagement, recruiting, or L&D).
- Proven ability supporting distributed, multi-state teams in dynamic environments.
- Highly independent, organized, and detail-obsessed.
- A collaborative teammate who builds strong cross-functional relationships.
- Growth mindset—self-directed learner who ramps quickly on new tools and topics.
- Track record of owning projects/programs end-to-end and juggling multiple deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Critical thinking with a bias for practical solutions and proactive risk spotting.
- Willingness to “roll up your sleeves” and dive into the trenches when needed.
- Genuine passion for people and doing the right thing—even when it’s not the easy thing.
Bonus Points
- Experience in e-commerce, regulated industries, or multi-state employment environments.
- Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now; comfort with tools like Google Workspace, Slack, and shared resource libraries.
- Understanding of how HR, internal communications, and employer brand intersect.
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance
- Short-term disability
- 401(k) with 4% match
- Unlimited PTO
- Employee discount on company products
- Opportunities to test new products
- Gym reimbursement
