ALL ABOUT FOOD & BEVERAGE
The Food & Beverage team ensures a consistent experience for our guests by maintaining product freshness, stock levels, availability, and accurate pricing and signage on the sales floor. They specialize in operations, process, and efficiency, leading food and food services including replenishment, inventory accuracy, food safety, presentation, and promotional signage.
As a Starbucks Barista, you will:
- Provide a consistent Starbucks experience by managing food quality and freshness
- Follow state and federal food safety and OSHA guidelines
Typical responsibilities include:
- Deliver exceptional guest service by maintaining a welcoming environment and prioritizing guest needs
- Maintain and execute Food & Beverage standards
- Handle food deliveries, replenishment, inventory routines, cleanliness, and organization
- Stay informed about current and upcoming Starbucks promotions
- Follow Target and Starbucks routines for a consistent guest experience
- Support Drive Up orders to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment
- Keep the dining area inviting and engaging with guests
- Prepare handcrafted beverages and food following recipes
- Adhere to food safety procedures, including temperature monitoring and recording
- Complete cleaning tasks and identify expired or damaged items
- Manage inventory and in-stock levels accurately
- Participate in training and certifications related to product quality
- Work safely, report hazards, and comply with safety policies
- Assist with guest services such as cashiering, order pickup, and Drive-up
- Create a welcoming atmosphere and engage with guests
- Perform any other duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Enjoy helping others and providing excellent service
- Thrive in a fast-paced, active environment with teamwork and flexibility
- Willing to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Previous food service experience preferred but not required
- Good communication skills and ability to operate technology devices
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Remain focused and composed in busy settings
Additional requirements:
- Handle cash register operations accurately
- Climb ladders and move merchandise safely
- Lift up to 44 pounds regularly
- Work in varying temperatures and environments
- Maintain mobility throughout shifts
