As a Director within Private Client Services, you will manage and oversee multiple client engagements, including accounting and related services. Responsibilities include the following: Provide accounting and support services to multiple clients, including: Review and oversight of accounting processes (timely posting to the general ledger, maintaining the GL, posting journal entries, coordinating monthly close, and preparing financial reports) Oversee accounting functions for specific families (accounts payable, processing authorized invoices and payments timely) Review and analyze financial information to prepare entries and document transactions Manage and reconcile bank accounts Reconcile expenses and intercompany accounts Prepare monthly/quarterly financial packages and related work papers Assist in preparation of annual tax package and supporting documents Establish, modify, and document accounting control procedures Develop trusted client relationships and collaborate to compile project information and resolve issues Manage risk, resources, staffing and financial performance for multiple engagements (billing, collections, project budgets) Identify key tax issues and quantify impact with clear analysis Build client relationships and demonstrate knowledge of client businesses Conduct day-to-day management of accounts to ensure timely, accurate work product Supervise, mentor, and develop Associates, Senior Associates, and Managers, providing feedback and fostering a team-based culture Manage workload and deadlines across teams with focus on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness Support business development efforts and identify opportunities for add-on work, thought leadership, and new client pitches Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting 5+ years of relevant experience; Private Client Services/Family Office/High Net Worth accounting preferred CPA High integrity and ability to handle confidential information Proven experience leading others while managing multiple work streams Demonstrated success as a trusted tax and business advisor Passion for training and mentoring staff Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to establish credibility and influence clients Strong research, writing, and analytical skills Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel emphasized) Strong knowledge of QuickBooks Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines Motivation to learn, grow, and identify opportunities for improvement Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Bilingual is a plus Your journey at A&M
