Business Development Director – Temperature-Controlled Storage & Distribution
Position Summary
Metric Bio are partnering with a US-based CDMO on a search for a Business Development Director. In this role you will be responsible for selling and expanding temperature-controlled storage and distribution services across the U.S. market. This role will develop and execute business development strategies, manage key client relationships, and collaborate with internal operations teams to ensure service excellence. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of cold chain logistics, clinical trial supply, and pharma distribution.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute strategic business development plans for temperature-controlled storage and distribution services.
Identify, engage, and manage key clients in the pharmaceutical and biopharma sectors.
Build long-term relationships with decision-makers, understanding their needs and translating them into solutions.
Collaborate closely with operations, supply chain, and quality teams to ensure deliverables meet client expectations.
Drive revenue growth through new business opportunities, upselling, and strategic partnerships.
Track market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities in cold chain logistics.
Represent the company at industry conferences, client meetings, and events.
Develop proposals, pricing strategies, and contracts in alignment with business objectives.
Qualifications
10+ years of experience in pharma/biopharma business development, sales, or strategic account management, preferably in logistics or cold chain services.
Strong understanding of temperature-controlled supply chain and storage solutions.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing revenue in a B2B environment.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
Willingness to travel as needed to support business development activities
