Overview

Director of Sales And Business Development opportunity with Hutchinson Consulting. This role is a key leadership position responsible for driving revenue and optimizing sales performance across multiple venues, overseeing sales operations for several properties, managing a diverse team of direct reports, and implementing strategies to maximize venue utilization and client satisfaction. Base pay range $145,000.00/yr - $160,000.00/yr Key Responsibilities

Execute a unified sales strategy for multiple venues to achieve revenue and growth targets. Lead and grow a high-achieving sales team that scales with the organization’s growth. Provide mentorship, guidance, and performance evaluations to the team, including weekly/monthly 1:1 meetings, and quarterly trainings. Foster collaboration and best practices across the sales teams of each property to ensure consistent and high-quality service. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including corporate clients, event planners, and strategic partnerships. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders to drive repeat business and client loyalty. Oversee the preparation and negotiation of sales proposals, contracts, and agreements for each venue. Analyze sales performance data, market trends, and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions and adjustments. Establish annual sales goals with leadership and ensure they are understood and implemented; maintain documentation of goal/bonus worksheets to record achievements. Develop the annual budget for the venue sales department in collaboration with leadership, ensuring operations stay within cost constraints while achieving revenue goals. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement targeted promotional campaigns and initiatives. Ensure all sales activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and best practices. Provide regular reports and updates on sales performance, revenue forecasts, and market conditions. Handle additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of experience in sales or business development within the event or hospitality industry, including at least 3 years in a managerial role overseeing multiple locations. Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth across diverse properties. Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience leading a team of 5 or more direct reports. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills. Proficiency in CRM software, sales analytics tools, and catering software. Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing market conditions.
