Our team, the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) Global team, is engineering, developing and integrating new capability for the Missile Defense System that currently protects the United States and its allies. The team, as a whole, is very large but is broken down into many smaller agile teams that work together in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Our team is also, responsible for tasks such as Sensor/Weapon Integration, Algorithm Development, User Interface Development, Automated Testing, Cyber Security and enhancing other critical, leading-edge missile defense technologies. The Work Perform complex problem resolution, design, development, testing, integration, and user-support for a large code baseline Follow specifications in order to develop or modify functionality within the code Assist with design, benchmark testing, debugging and documentation Interface with other system support groups to resolve problems, set standards and improve overall efficiency of the system Design, code, test and implement tools for automation Who We Are As leader of the C2BMC team, Lockheed Martin directs a partnership of highly responsive industry leaders developing and fielding the backbone of America's missile defense. Together, this national team supports the design, development, test, integration and fielding of hardware and software elements that enable the Missile Defense System (MDS) to function effectively and continually. You will also have the opportunity to interface with our key customers in the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). You will collaborate with a diverse team of technical professionals including software and systems engineers, architects, and our project engineering team. As part of C2BMC-G you will support on-site at our Federal Drive location in the North end of Colorado Springs. With the mountains as the backdrop for daily living, you will begin to appreciate the 360 days of sunshine we receive here and still be able to play "winter" sports in the middle of May. Who You Are A successful candidate must understand and be dedicated to the C2BMC Mission including Missile and Space Defense. The successful candidate will need to utilize good communication skills and good organizational skills to facilitate collaboration across the many organizations necessary to accomplish challenging missions. Desired Skills Experience working as part of an Agile team Familiarity with Java Spring Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker/Kubernetes Knowledge of server side development and message passing Experience developing enterprise applications Good working knowledge of MS Office products Flexibility and willingness to take on unanticipated tasking Use of common software development and management tools such as git, Nexus, JIRA, Confluence, Maven or Gradle and Eclipse Understanding of standard system engineering design artifacts such as Use Cases and UML diagrams Experience with Software Integration testing including developing automated test scripts Experience with Risk Management Framework/STIG/Fortify mitigation Prior experience designing and developing microservices and deploying with containers; experience setting up a container environment Effective oral and written communication skills Ability to work effectively in a rapid paced, team environment This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration. This position will involve around 10% travel to our customer sites throughout the U.S.
