Ar / Collections Specialist

Analyze customer accounts to identify and resolve discrepancies, ensuring proper billing and cash activity. Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams to negotiate payment terms and resolve outstanding balances. Utilize intermediate-level Excel skills, including pivot tables and formulas, to streamline reporting and data analysis. Take initiative in identifying opportunities for process improvement within collections and AR workflows. Collaborate closely with the team to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and contribute to overall department success. Conduct credit risk analysis to assess customer payment behavior and minimize financial exposure. Maintain accurate documentation of customer interactions, payment agreements, and account status updates. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures while maintaining a high standard of customer service. Requirements
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in B2B collections or accounts receivable. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and formulas; experience with macros is a plus. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and analytical skills. Proven ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment. Self-starter mentality with a commitment to achieving team goals and meeting deadlines. Familiarity with credit risk analysis and performance metrics. Prior experience in manufacturing, healthcare, or B2B environments is preferred. Ability to maintain effective relationships while efficiently managing collections processes.
