Warehouse Associate (Multiple Shifts) – Onsite (Fort Worth, TX). 6-month contract plus extensions with potential to convert to full-time employment. Job description and location information provided by Apex Systems, a national IT services firm.

Responsibilities

• Verify contents of shipments against shipping documents and note discrepancies or damage.
• Operate computer terminal to enter receipts and print labels.
• Pick outbound orders using RF scanners, verifying quantity and product.
• Pack products with appropriate box sizes and route boxes to the conveyor line for quality checks in the upper mezzanine.
• Enter handling units and verify orders with correct count and product; print shipping labels.
• Label boxes accurately and send to the conveyor line for metering.
• Mark products with correct numbers and labels.
• Maintain cleanliness and adhere to safety standards in the work area.

Schedule

Schedule: Monday – Friday

• Shift: 1st shift 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• Overtime is mandatory during high-volume periods.

Qualifications

• High School Education or equivalent with at least 6 months of warehouse experience.
• Knowledge of shipping, warehouse and safety procedures with some computer experience.
• Ability to multitask, strong organization and time management skills.
• Ability to respond effectively to inquiries or complaints in a timely manner.
• Capability to use RF technology.
• Forklift certification is a plus.
• Knowledge of a WMS system (SAP preferred).
• Knowledge of FedEx, UPS, and DHL power stations.
• Typing speed 25-40 WPM.
