We are hiring a Warehouse Associate to join our team.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving: Reads schedules, orders, packing slips, or requisitions to determine items to move or collect; marks materials with identifying information; opens containers; verifies and records amounts; drives equipment within the warehouse; enters records in the computer; compiles worksheets from customer specifications; put away and store goods; weigh or count items for distribution to ensure conformance to standards.
  • Picking: Fulfills requisitions and distributes items to customers and sales; assembles customer orders and places orders on pallets or shelves; compiles worksheets from customer specifications.
  • Packing: Reads orders to determine items to move; verifies picked products and documents discrepancies; confirms tickets; enters records in the computer.
  • Loading: Consolidates freight for shipping and loads trucks for delivery to customers.
  • Routing: Facilitates and distributes shipping tickets; verifies shipping method; manages delayed release tickets; communicates oversize loads to freight carriers.
  • Operations: Inspects and maintains printing equipment and ensures shipping routes are maintained.
  • Pipe Yard: Receives pipe and conduit; prepares pipe and conduit bundles for shipping orders.

Qualifications

  • Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or GED; three months or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Requirements: Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating manuals; write routine reports and correspondence; perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units); compute rate, ratio, and percent and interpret bar graphs; working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Internet; forklift/cherry picker experience; basic safety knowledge (proper lifting techniques).
  • Physical Demands: Frequently lift, carry, push, and slide packages up to 75 lbs; stand, walk, bend, climb, reach, and use hands; maintain safety and accuracy; mobility and flexibility; occasionally lift items over 75 lbs with assistance.
