Type: Full-Time | 4 days in office

Are you a detail-oriented Staff Accountant seeking purpose-driven work in a supportive, mission-focused environment? Our faith-based organization in South Nashville is looking for a Staff Accountant to join our dedicated team and help steward our financial operations with excellence and integrity.

As a Staff Accountant, you’ll play a key role in managing general ledger entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes. You’ll also assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to ensure transparency and accountability across departments. You’ll work closely with leadership to maintain compliance with internal controls and financial policies, and support audits and external reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage general ledger entries
• Perform account reconciliations
• Execute month-end close processes
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
• Support internal controls compliance and financial policies
• Support audits and external reporting

Qualifications

• Experience in accounting or finance (2+ years preferred)
• Experience with month-end close
• Strong Excel and accounting software skills
• Commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and ethical standards
• Alignment with our faith-based mission and values
• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus, but not required
