Staff Accountant Job at SHR Talent in Nashville

SHR Talent is partnering with a rapidly expanding construction-focused company in Nashville, TN in its search for a Staff Accountant. The Staff Accountant role offers the opportunity to go beyond transactional work, supporting operations and leadership in a hands-on environment.

A successful candidate for the Staff Accountant opportunity will have excellent communication skills with ability to work across departments and in the field, strong construction accounting experience and the curiosity and initiative to solve problems, partner with project managers, and dig into the details.

Responsibilities

• Perform general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close
• Support job costing, WIP reporting, and construction project accounting
• Assist with audit requests and ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Partner cross-functionally with project managers and operations teams to resolve issues
• Identify process improvements and support accounting for multiple acquisitions

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, required
• 2 – 6 years of accounting experience, preferably in construction
