Work hybrid with only two days onsite from their Scottsdale, AZ campus.

About the Role

The Senior Accountant will report to the Supervisor of Distributed Solar Accounting and manage financial data, journal entries, account reconciliations, and assist with internal financial reporting and controls for renewable energy projects. The role focuses on accounting for and reporting on multiple utility-scale solar ownership structures. Additional ad-hoc projects will be assigned, covering various accounting functions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
• Conduct financial analyses, including income statements, balance sheets, and equity transactions.
• Utilize financial reporting software to create and maintain reporting templates and data queries.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and prepare documentation to support financial assertions.
• Assist with unaudited and audited financial statements in accordance with GAAP, focusing on tax equity and cash equity ownership.
• Collaborate with internal departments and stakeholders to provide accurate financial information and support external audit requests.
• Support the tax department with partnership returns and tax provisions as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Minimum of 4 years of general accounting experience.
• Proficiency with ERP accounting systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills

• CPA or master’s in accounting.
• Public accounting experience.
• Familiarity with SAP

Pay: $50/hour
