Position
Human Resource Generalist who aids with and facilitates the human resources processes at all business locations. Supports HRIS entry needs and recruitment, and assists with and supports both sides of the Human Resources team.
Responsibilities
- Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
- Completes Form I-9, verifies I-9 documentation, and maintains files.
- Assists with processing of terminations.
- Conduct investigations and report information to the Human Resources Manager or Director as appropriate.
- Conduct regularly scheduled engagement chats within assigned departments.
- Processes and inputs new-employee files in Paycom.
- Ensures completion of New Hire Packet documents if a candidate starts prior to orientation.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date HR files, records, and documentation.
- Answers FAQs from applicants and employees relative to policies, benefits, hiring processes; refers complex questions to senior HR staff or management.
- Maintains confidentiality of HR files and records; performs periodic audits of HR files and records.
- Sends offer letters to hourly candidates, coordinates start dates and New Hire Orientation, and communicates with hiring managers.
- Helps create name badges and prepare uniforms for new hires.
- Assists with Paycom payroll functions, including processing, answering questions, fixing errors, and distributing checks.
- Acts as a liaison with external benefits providers and vendors (health, disability, retirement plans).
- Conducts or assists with new hire orientation.
- Assists with planning and execution of benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations with tact and diplomacy.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Professional discretion.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; ability to learn payroll software and HRIS quickly.
Education and Experience
- Associate degree in a related field required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Prior related HR experience preferred.
Compensation
Base pay range: $55,000.00/yr - $65,000.00/yr. This range is provided by Anakeesta; actual pay will be based on skills and experience. Pay range displayed may be adjusted after discussion with the recruiter.
