Fundraising Director, Walk to End Alzheimer's

Position: Fundraising Director, Walk to End Alzheimer's at Alzheimer's Association. Remote role; Jacksonville, FL resident strongly preferred. Position Summary

Walk to End Alzheimers ranks as the second-largest peer-to-peer fundraising event in the United States, and continues to set the pace as one of the fastest growing walk events in the country. In 2024, Walk to End Alzheimers was recognized as the #2 peer-to-peer fundraising event in the country, with the largest dollar growth of any program in the top 30. As Director, Walk to End Alzheimers, you will drive the success of a large walk event by leading a team of volunteer leaders and achieving revenue goals through engagement with corporate and community partners. You will recruit, coach and empower volunteers to ensure strong committee retention and succession planning. You will coach and inspire your volunteers, teams and participants to set fundraising goals that propel the event to be among the most successful in the country. This role oversees all aspects of the Jacksonville Walk to End Alzheimers. Responsibilities

Lead a large walk event by driving revenue goals through corporate and community partnerships. Recruit, coach and empower volunteers; ensure strong committee retention and succession planning. Inspire volunteers, teams and participants to set and meet fundraising goals for a top-performing peer-to-peer event. Manage all aspects of the Jacksonville Walk to End Alzheimers, including planning, execution, and outcomes. Collaborate with volunteer leaders to build brand awareness and community engagement. Qualifications

Bachelors degree or equivalent experience. 57 years of proven experience recruiting and mobilizing volunteers and community leaders to achieve goals, preferably in a peer-to-peer fundraising environment; or 57 years of successful experience meeting sales targets. Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

Demonstrated management skills with the ability to set clear goals, organize projects, manage budgets, and establish accountability. Experience identifying, recruiting and engaging high-level and C-Suite volunteer leadership. Strong ability to build sustainable corporate and community relationships to achieve organizational and revenue goals. Ability to work with diverse communities and foster an inclusive environment. Willingness to travel up to 50% within the assigned territory; valid drivers license and reliable vehicle required. Ability to work evenings and weekends as required. Physical ability to bend, stoop, lift and transport up to 25 lbs. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and social media; ability to learn Luminate/Convio software quickly. Position Details
