$75,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr Role Impact
The Finance Business Partner is a key strategic advisor and operational enabler for the US and BioTalent businesses, with a focus on commercial finance and business partnering. The role’s main focus is strategic and analytical work, with a smaller portion of time on day-to-day ad-hoc tasks (e.g., local US compliance, tax matters). This position requires an understanding of general US taxation and basic compliance requirements. The Finance Business Partner serves as a trusted advisor to the US Managing Director and other senior leaders, translating business objectives into financial and operational plans. They lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning for the US business. They also produce financial reports and dashboards to highlight key metrics, monitor P&L performance for risks and opportunities, and analyze business performance at the consultant, client, and team levels. Key Responsibilities Strategic Planning:
developing financial strategies that align with the company’s goals, including long-term planning and forecasting.
Budgeting:
overseeing and leading the budgeting process to reflect strategic objectives.
Financial Analysis & Data-driven decision support:
using internal data to inform workforce and sales strategies; analyzing performance at multiple levels to guide strategic initiatives.
Reporting:
preparing and presenting financial reports to senior management, highlighting KPIs and insights.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
collaborating with departments to gather information and provide insights for decision-making.
Forecasting:
developing and maintaining financial models to forecast performance, assessing risks and opportunities.
Performance Monitoring:
tracking financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying improvements and actions.
Commercial Projects & Initiatives:
supporting or leading pricing strategy and margin optimization projects; contributing to business cases.
Process Improvement:
refining financial processes and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
US Operational Finance:
handling day-to-day financial inquiries, processing payments, and resolving ad-hoc queries.
US Compliance:
liaising between UK financial control and US tax authorities, banks, accountants/tax advisors, payroll platforms, and benefits providers as needed.

Highly proficient in Excel
CPA certification
