Bob Penkhus Mazda at Powers is seeking a skilled Automotive Mechanic to join our dynamic team. Business has been going up and up and we are looking for someone to help push us to the next level. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience in various automotive repair and maintenance tasks. This role requires a commitment to delivering high-quality service while ensuring customer satisfaction. If you have dealership experience and a passion for vehicles, we want to hear from you Duties Perform routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections. Diagnose and repair automotive issues using advanced diagnostic tools and equipment. Conduct auto body repairs, including welding, detailing, and painting using airless paint spraying techniques. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete repairs and installations. Assist with auto glass replacement and restoration projects as needed. Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair needs and recommendations clearly to clients. Prepare accurate auto estimates for repair services based on thorough inspections. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety standards. Engage in heavy lifting when necessary during vehicle repairs or restorations. Qualifications Proven mechanic experience with a solid understanding of vehicle systems and components. Previous dealership experience is highly desirable. Proficiency in welding, auto body repair, auto painting, buffing, and detailing techniques. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively. Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during repairs or restorations. A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications are a plus.
