Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, with expertise in both non-profit and governmental accounting. This role requires a deep understanding of GAAP, IFRS, and SOX compliance, as well as proficiency in financial report writing and analysis. The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing insightful financial management support. Responsibilities Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP and IFRS standards. Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate transactions. Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger accounting to maintain integrity of financial data. Prepare regulatory reports and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero for efficient financial management. Perform account reconciliation and technical accounting tasks as needed. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide insights on financial performance. Experience Proven experience in public accounting or corporate accounting roles at least 5 years. Degree in Accounting is required. Familiarity with financial concepts including double entry bookkeeping, payroll processing, and account analysis. Proficiency in financial software tools for reporting and analysis. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
