We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various accounting disciplines, including corporate accounting, governmental accounting, and non-profit accounting. This role requires a deep understanding of financial concepts, GAAP principles, and proficiency in accounting software such as Sage and Xero. The Accounting Specialist will play a critical role in maintaining financial integrity through accurate reporting, compliance with regulations, and effective financial management. Duties Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards. Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and account reconciliation to ensure accuracy. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. Perform journal entries and maintain the general ledger accounting system. Execute cash flow analysis and budgeting to support financial planning. Assist with regulatory reporting and compliance with securities law. Provide financial report writing and interpretation for management review. Mentor junior staff members in technical accounting practices. Conduct audits to ensure adherence to internal controls and SOX compliance. Support tax preparation and filing processes as required. Engage in forecasting and financial analysis to guide corporate finance decisions. Experience
Candidates should possess the following qualifications: Proven experience in accounting or AR/AP roles. Strong knowledge of double entry bookkeeping, payroll processing, and accrual accounting. Experience with financial services, including private equity management. Proficient in using financial software for bookkeeping, auditing, and reporting purposes. Ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate findings effectively. Strong analytical skills with a focus on detail-oriented tasks such as account analysis and general ledger reconciliation.
